The season-long recipe for success clicked again Friday night for Earl Marriott.
The Mariners, who have lost just once this fall, dispatched Claremont 3-0 to reach the AAA finals at the Kahunaverse Sports BC Volleyball Championships.

“We did it by committee,” EMS coach Al Schill said after the 25-14, 25-23, 25-12 victory. “All 12 players got in and made a meaningful impact when they got in.”

Earl Marriott will play Van Tech for gold Saturday night at Langley Events Centre.
“The boys played really well,” Schill said. “The twins (Talon and Takoda McMullin) played well again.”
The talented Mariners have bought into sharing the playing time all season.

“Some have had to put serious egos aside,” Schill said. “It’s not an easy thing.”
