Semiahmoo to play KSS in AAA final

Langley — Second seed Semiahmoo swept past Seaquam in three sets Friday night to win a spot in Saturday’s 5 p.m. AAA finals at the Big Kahuna BC Volleyball Championships.

The scores were 25-18, 25-23, 25-15.

The Totems will play for the title against No. 1 Kelowna, which overcame fourth-seeded Dover Bay in four sets in a late-night match.

In AAA placement play:

Fraser Heights beat Moscrop 21-25, 25-18, 15-12, then lost to Delta 25-20, 21-25, 17-15.

Centennial beat Moscrop 25-17, 25-15.

Van Tech defeated Oak Bay 21-25, 25-11, 15-4. Oak Bay then beat Mount Boucherie 18-25, 25-18, 20-18.

Elgin Park topped Claremont 25-22, 22-25, 15-9, then defeated Penticton 25-20, 25-14 for 17th place.

Claremont beat David Thompson 28-26, 26-24 for 19th.
