Devon Cote wins 2014 Spike Contest

With a slightly new look to a long tradition at the Championships, the Spike Contest didn’t disappoint with Devon Cote winning the three round battle royale. In the final round, Devon beat defending Champ from last year, GP Vanier’s Braydon Brouwer, by a very narrow margin on the spike-ometer reading. Reaching nearly to the top to the scale in the “King Kong” range- both players were right there when Cote slightly registering a higher shot right at the end. As the winner of this year’s contest, Devon received an autographed jersey from Canadian National Team captain Fred Winters.
